Court / Transport

As of December 1, 2014, The Polk County Sheriff's Office took over security duties at the Polk County Justice Center, located at 816 Marin Avenue in the city of Crookston. This division of the Sheriff's Office is comprised of 1 Sergeant and 8 Deputies. 

Duties

Primary duties include the following:

• Assisting with other Polk County Sheriff's Office Patrol functions
• Bailiff duties - Warrant execution
• Federal Marshall transports
• Investigating criminal activity at the Northwest Regional Correctional Center
• Other transport duties
• Oversight of the public entrance of the Justice Center building
• Security of the building and grounds
• Service of civil process

This division also provides security for the: 

• The Court Administration office
• Polk County Attorney's Office
• Polk County Public Defender's Office
• Tri-County Community Corrections
• Tri-County Probations
