Polk County's 911 dispatchers handle emergency and non-emergency telephone calls for the local law enforcement, fire, and ambulance agencies in the county.
Investigators have the same requirements in law enforcement as the patrol deputies but primarily investigate felony level offenses.
Deputies are licensed by the Minnesota Board of Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST).
