Rewarding Youth for Wearing Helmets
The Polk County Sheriff's Office participates in the I Got Caught Youth program. We offer positive reinforcement and reward helmet use among the local youth in partnership with:
- AAA
- Dairy Queen
- The Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association
- The Minnesota Sheriffs Association
- Safe Kids Minnesota
I Got Caught rewards youth who wear helmets while riding a bicycle, scooter, skateboard, or inline skates.
Reward
Youth "caught" wearing a helmet are rewarded with a "citation" for a free ice cream cone at participating Dairy Queen Restaurants!
