  • Crookston Office: Window hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The lobby self-service hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
  • East Grand Forks Office: Window and lobby hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The lobby self-service hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  
  • McIntosh Office: Window is closed to the public. The lobby is self service from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

To Report Child Abuse or Neglect

** If the child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local police department. **  

If you want to make an immediate oral report of physical or sexual abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a child on Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, call the below numbers and ask for the intake worker. You can also complete the Child Protection Form and submit via email, which is the preferred method. Email submission is encrypted.

If making a report by email, please include your contact information so you can be reached for clarifying questions or to obtain needed information that may not be included in the email. After 4:30 PM on weekdays and on weekends, please call the following to make a report:

Report suspected maltreatment of a vulnerable adult to the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC) at 1-844-880-1574 which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If the vulnerable adult is in immediate danger, call 911. Mandated reporters may use the online reporting tool by making a web report at mn.gov/dhs/reportadultabuse/.
